Medical Procedures Refreshers Simulation Course
(MPR Course)
The MPR course is a Technical skills simulation course utilising part-task trainers in the clinical skills lab setting targeted at trainees performing at Specialist registrar level (ST3+/IMY3+). This course provides trainees with the opportunity to perform hands on deliberate practice in a safe, simulated environment receiving guidance and coaching from experienced faculty. The course is curriculum-linked to Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB). Curriculum for Internal Medicine stage 2 (2022) covering up to 10 procedures offering opportunity for delegates to obtain directly observed summative assessments relative to their stage of training

Workshop for Inquest Training and Navigating Evidence in Simulated Scenarios
(WITNESS)

(IMPRESS Course)

This course provides trainees with hands-on experience in managing a variety of medical emergencies through realistic, simulated scenarios. With a focus on human factors like decision-making, communication, and teamwork, participants will enhance their critical thinking skills and build confidence to effectively handle real-world situations

Non-Technical Skills for Medical Registrars
(NoTeS Course)
This innovative course is designed for senior healthcare professionals, specifically ST6+ and post-CCT doctors, to enhance their skills through a combination of Virtual Reality (VR) simulations and a mock coroner's inquest. Participants will engage in immersive clinical scenarios using VR headsets, focusing on non-technical skills and human factors, and participate in a simulated coroner's inquest led by legal and healthcare experts to build confidence as a witness and support for colleagues
